The Cranberry Township Estate Agent
In 1988 Cranberry Township was experiencing new growth. New constructiion developments began to spring up. Blue Ridge, Glenbrook, The Crossings and others were attracting transfering buyers into Butler County. These developments were started in anticipation of the completion of I-279. Completion of the road reduced the drive time by half into Pittsburgh and offered the attraction of new homes with lower property taxes in Butler County. The opening of the road was like opening the floodgates for Real Estate. I remember since I was the listing agent for the 97 lot plan known as Glenbrook in Cranberry Township. Working with several builders in this atmosphere was a great start to my Real Estate career.
Today, Cranberry Township has grown by leaps and bounds. The 23 square mile municipality has grown from 14,000 residents in 1990 to 28,000 today. It's one of a few communities that has its own municipal golf course, Cranberry Highlands of Cranberry Township. The shopping offerings have been playing catch up with residential Real Estate but moving in today you will find Target, Dicks, Borders Books, Home Depot and Lowes to name a few.
Seneca Valley School District serves Cranberry Township. As Cranberry has grown, Seneca Valley has grown with it. The school district has an excellent curiculum and competes with North Allegheny and Pine Richland Schools.
